Druwang Rinpoche is down in health... Here is a short prayer for him... may he stay healthy and remain in this world forever to teach dharma!  Posted by Hello

What Will Matter?

READY OR NOT, SOME DAY IT WILL ALL COME TO AN END.

There will be no more sunrises, no minutes, hours or days.
All the things you collected, whether treasured or forgotten, will
pass to someone else.
Your wealth, fame and temporal power will shrivel to irrelevance.
It will not matter what you owned or what you were owed.
Your grudges, resentments, frustrations and jealousies will
finally disappear.
So too, your hopes, ambitions, plans and to-do lists will expire.
The wins and losses that once seemed so important will fade away.
It won't matter where you came from or what side of the tracks
you lived on at the end.
It won't matter whether you were beautiful or brilliant.
Even your gender and skin color will be irrelevant.

SO WHAT WILL MATTER? HOW WILL THE VALUE OF YOUR DAYS BE MEASURED?

What will matter is not what you bought, but what you built; not what you got, but what you gave.
What will matter is not your success, but your significance.
What will matter is not what you learned, but what you taught.
What will matter is every act of integrity, compassion, courage
or sacrifice that enriched, empowered or encouraged others to
emulate your example.
What will matter is not your competence, but your character.
What will matter is not how many people you knew, but how many
will feel a lasting loss when you're gone.
What will matter is not your memories, but the memories that live in those who loved you.
What will matter is how long you will be remembered, by whom and for what.

Living a life that matter doesn't happen by accident.
It's not a matter of circumstance but of choice.
Choose to live a life that matters.

At work lately

A term is coming to an end soon, soon starts another term of work in workplace. Looks like it is going to be very busy with many stuffs to conduct and many objectives to be met.

My poor boss... he is stressed out by his own work... and as a result, he decides to stress us for results as well.

Sometimes, these people just dun get it. As if the work they are doing and pursuing are really worth it.

Now, will be glad when this whole batch is finally over.... then will be a good time to take a break

Animal Liberation on 4 Nov

"Of all misgivings, killing is the worst. Of all meritorious deeds, life liberation is the best."-The Sastra on Great Wisdom (Da Zhi Du Lun)

The 4th of November (Thursday) is Lha Bab Duchen, one of the four GREAT FESTIVAL days in Buddhism, at which time the effects of positive and negative actions are multiplied 10 million times. Lha Bab Duchen is the day when Buddha Shakyamuni's descent from Indra's heaven where Buddha's mother was reborn after she died n our world. To repay her kindness and to liberate her, and also to benefit the gods, Buddha spent three months teaching in the realm of the gods - in Indra's heaven.

This event is well-documented in the Sutra of the Original Vow of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.

Great Leaders to be produced from Leadership Field Camp ?!!?!? Posted by Hello

Leadership Camp

Juz finish another Leadership Fieldcamp.

Many things-a-missing in this fieldcamp itself. Things like unlimited pushups, cockcroach flutterkicks, endless jumping jets and LEOPARD CRAWL....

Instead, it is nice and mild and all instructors are sweet and cordial. Yet, the casevac is definitely not on par with other wings nor issit up to standards in itself. Sad, but what to do? Clamp down by WC_M. Instead, i will have to conduct a RT for Casevac Drills... secretly, of course.

Disturbance

Thoughts in the mind are like disturbance.
Like clouds in the sky; like waves on the ocean. It is inseparable from the host, because it is part of the host. Becos it is a projection of the host.

Not be carried away by thoughts, feelings and emotions - you are not affected by disturbances.
